This section is pretty much a dumping ground for everything that doesn't relate to food, pets or my/Rowan's art. Music, books, short subject pieces, parties, projects, stuff we find and think is interesting, etc.; all that fits in here.

For instance, I'm working on creating a board game right now. It's sort of a combo of Hero Quest and Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. In the next weeks/months I'm going to be putting that together and posting my progress. Hopefully it'll be interesting, but it's also good for me so I have my own record of what I did along the way.

I'm very much a fan of board games. I'm not playing them all the time, mainly because I'm usually too busy these days to sit down for the time required. But I still love reading the rules and checking out all the parts. The more parts, the better.

The game I'll be working on, Inspector Vogts, takes place in an urban setting (sort of Victorian-ish, at least that's my idea right now) and has the player(s) solving a crime by moving throughout the city to various locations and interacting with different characters.

My thoughts are that there will be a master system, with the rules/board/game pieces, and then expansion sets each with a different mystery and specific extra game pieces. Much of that part is up in the air, but I'm working on writing the rules and the first case.

Of course, that's not very exciting to show but soon I'll be working on building the board and the game pieces so that'll probably be more interesting.
